All of the products have been designed to deliver 12m2/L per coat.
To establish the amount of paint you require follow the calculation below.
1: Work out the total area that you wish to coat.
2: Multiply by 2 for the number of coats required.
3: Divide by 12 to establish litres required.
4: Multiply the litres by 1.3 to allow enough for 30% excess to allow for waste, roller and brush loading and retention in the can and roller tray.
Where figures are less than full litres round up to full litres.
e.g for a 10m2 of surface. 10 X 2 = 20 20/12 = 1.67 1.67 X 1.3 = 2.17
Round up to 3 litres.
Can I apply Renovation Range paint to an unprepared surface?
No. Before you apply Renovation Range Paint, your surface must be properly prepared and cleaned. Do not skip the preparation stage. These paints form a strong bond to the substrate. Oil and Grease will compromise this bond so they must be completely removed.
What should I use to clean surfaces that will be painted?
Use a non-abrasive grease and oil cutting cleaner like Selleys Sugar Soap. Clean the surface at least twice with clean water and Sugar Soap each time. Clean until the cleaning water and Sugar Soap remain clean.
Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds. Abrasive scouring pads should be used when cleaning before painting.
If I am painting over raw timber what additional steps must I take to ensure a good finish?
If painting over raw wood, it is recommended to use a primer such as Dulux PRECISION Smoke Stain, Smoke and Odour Blocker to properly seal the surface and stop any tannin staining in the Renovation Range Paint. You may need to lightly sand away any raised wood grain.

How can I touch up small areas post application of Dulux Renovation Range?
For the one component Renovation Range Cabinet Doors there is no pot life, so painters can simply give the area a light sand and recoat, re-using the same paint can they used for the initial application.
For two component Renovation Range products, touch up can be done after a smoothing sand using the original paint as long as it is used with 10 days of mixing in the additive. If the touch up is done at a time longer than 10 days, then the painter will need to buy more Renovation Range paint. This is the same as with most two component paints systems.
Can silicone sealers be applied over the top of the paint?
