With over 1000 Dulux Colours of New Zealand available, narrowing down the perfect palette for your home is no easy feat. Thankfully, there are many ways to test and visualise our colour options – perhaps even without picking up a paintbrush!

From paint sample pots, colour chips and our in-store colour walls to large colour swatches, here's what you need to know about sampling Dulux paint colours.

Colour swatches

To explore colour without the commitment, our large, A4 colour swatches are available in all our Dulux Colours of New Zealand colour options and can be ordered online.

You can order up to four free swatches online simply by clicking on your selected colour(s). Make sure you view the swatches against your furnishings and in daylight or under artificial lighting, as colours can appear to change in different lighting conditions.

Sample pots

For a more hands-on approach, Dulux Colour Sample Pots are available to purchase online in 100ml sizes, allowing you to test your chosen colour on a variety of surfaces. Or, for sample pots in larger sizes, visit your local paint stockist.

Our samples provide a great way for you to see how the application looks before you commit to your chosen colour.

In-store colour wall

You can view the Dulux Colours of New Zealand® range on the colour walls in-store. Brighter colours can be found at the top of the wall and softer colours down the bottom.  To help you find the right colour, the most popular interior and exterior colours are highlighted on the side of the wall.

Dulux Chips

All of our triple colour chips are a monochromatic scheme in itself. Chip 1 is an example of tonal variations of one colour. Chip 2 is an example of the same colour with three different strengths.

Chip 1 – The top or middle colour can be used on a feature wall while the bottom colour can be used as the main wall colour throughout the rest of the room. Or you can try one of our beautiful Whites as the trim colour.

Chip 2 - The first colour can be used as a feature with the second full strength colour used as the main wall colour. The half strength colour can be used as the trim colour.
