
About Prep Wash
Dulux Prep Wash is an essential preparation product designed to obliterate dirt and mould, mildew and algae from new and old exterior surfaces prior to applying paint systems. It is effective in removing mould and other contaminants, cleaning and preparing the surface for coating. It also whitens stains and grey weathered timber.

Do not contaminate storm water with product or product washings.
Precautions and limitations
• Do not allow to come into contact with powder coated surfaces.
• Protect plants, bushes, metal and paint work that is not to be cleaned, with plastic sheets.
• Rinse off immediately and thoroughly if contact occurs.
• If contact with glass occurs, rinse thoroughly immediately.
• DO NOT mix with acids, bleach products, or other household cleaners.

Previously Painted Surfaces
• Remove any extreme caked dirt/mud with a water blaster before using Dulux Prep Wash.
• Test on a small inconspicuous area at recommended dilution to determine effectiveness and strength required.
• Dulux Prep Wash is not a paint remover:
• however it may remove some old and weathered coatings.
• This product may not be able to remove hard water deposits, mould or mildew from old grout or silicone caulking.
Wear protective gloves and goggles when using this product.
Brush, roller
Apply by broom or brush, or by garden sprayer.
1. Add one part Dulux Prep Wash concentrate to one part water in a clean plastic bucket and mix well.
2. Test on a small inconspicuous area at recommended dilution to determine effectiveness and strength required.
3. Apply diluted Dulux Prep Wash solution to walls/roof/trim with a broom/brush or garden sprayer.
4. Leave the solution on the surface until mould and mildew stains disappear or soften (approximately 10 minutes), avoiding allowing the solution to dry out.
5. Scrub vigorously.
6. Rinse off the surface with water using a high pressure or garden hose and allow surface to dry.
• Surfaces such as the roof may be slippery while wet.
• Stubborn stains may require longer time, more vigorous scrubbing, or additional treatment.
• Severely stained surfaces may need a power washer, or treatment with undiluted Dulux Prep Wash concentrate.
• This concentrate is not suitable for coatings.
• Do not allow to come into contact with powder coated surfaces.
