Performance guide

Dulux Copper Patina Effect is an effect solution applied by sponge or cloth over Dulux Copper Effect paint to create the look of aged copper.

Surfaces

• Plasterboard

• Brick

• Cement sheet

• Bare timber

• Set plaster

• Fibrous plaster

• Metal surfaces

Previously Painted Surfaces

Prepare surface as per Dulux Copper Effect.

Brush, roller

• Apply over Dulux Copper Effect.

• Best results are achieved if treatment begins as soon as the final coat of Dulux Copper Effect is touch dry (approx. two hours) and within 12 hours of application.

• Apply Dulux Copper Patina solution by brush or muslin in a random pattern.

• The aged effect will continue to develop over days and weeks.

• A second coat can be applied if required.

• Do not apply a clear sealer as this can remove or damage the effect, especially when new.

• The level of patina will vary depending on drying time and application method.

• The patina can be rubbed off when touched.

• On exterior surfaces, patination run off may stain adjacent surfaces.
