Located in Kokatahi River - Whitcombe River area in the West Coast region. Sir Robert is a standard NZFS S81 four-bunk design built in 1963. It is located in the Kokatahi River – Whitcombe River area in the West Coast of New Zealand. In 1983 NZFS lined the hut & flew-in a toilet constructed from materials salvaged from the dismantled Lower Toaroha & Lower Kokatahi huts. The hut houses 4 people on single bunk beds.

In March 2018, Anderson Helicopters flew in volunteers, Alan Jemison, James Clark and Kerry Millard who worked many hours to complete the painting of the hut. The Back Country Trust/ High-Country Consortium funded and facilitated this project.
