Backyard Living Fence

Fencing

  1. Before you paint your fence, tie back and cover your plants, remove any bikes or cars, brush away any dirt and lay down a drop sheet.
  2. To ensure you achieve the best results possible, use a wire brush to remove imperfections on older fences and an anti-moss solution to combat mould.
  3. Apply Dulux Timbacryl by brush, roller or spray. Handheld paint sprayers can be a convenient and time saving approach, depending on the style and size of the fence.

Tip: Remember to check the Light Reflectance Value (LRV) and substrate suitability of your chosen colour before application.

Dulux Timbacryl™

Dog Kennel

  1. Start by cutting in around the edges and hard to reach areas using Dulux Weathershield.
  2. Apply paint to the surface using short, horizontal brush strokes.
  3. Smooth over the painted section with long brush strokes. Do not reload the brush when you do this. Don’t brush it too much – a few strokes should be enough to smooth the surface.
  4. Repeat this process for the second coat. Allow to dry, then give the surface a light sand with 400 grit sandpaper and repeat for a second coat.
  5. If painting bare timber a third coat will be required
