Auckland House - Power Painters
Auckland House Project
This project was the extensive renovation of a high-end
residential home in one of Auckland's most established suburbs. No
expense was spared in this transformation to a high tech 500 m2+
home, whilst still retaining the charm and character of the
original house. A section of the house was clad in brand new
weatherboards. The existing weatherboards were prepared with a
light machine sand.
An oil-based undercoat was used on over pre-primed weatherboards
and finished with two coats of Dulux Weathershield X10. Low sheen
windows and external doors were given an oil-based undercoat over
pre-primed windows, and finished with two coats of Dulux Super
Enamel. Block walls had one coat of Dulux HAR Primer and two top
coats of Dulux Elastomeric. The wooden fences were given two coats
of Dulux Timbacryl. On the interior we used Dulux Low-Sheen acrylic
as well as Dulux Ultra Flat ceiling paint.
The light-filled stairwell shows the contrast between walls and
wooden floors.
Modern design highlights classic wooden windows and striking
paneled interior doors.
The new extension at rear of house opens out to a pool area.

home.
