Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free of all dirt, dust, grease, loose or flaking paint, and loose surface plaster. New Concrete, mortar or cement render must be allowed to cure for 4 to 8 weeks depending on concrete thickness and drying conditions. Treat existing mouldy surfaces by washing with dilute sodium hypochlorite. Use 1 part of household bleach containing sodium hypochlorite diluted in 3 parts of clean water. Wearing gloves and goggles, apply using a thick scouring pad to work well into the surface. Leave the bleach on the surface for 15 minutes. Wash with clean water and wipe dry. In severe cases, repeat this process to remove all mould. Apply primer, sealer or undercoat as required.

DULUX Mouldshield Semi Gloss Acrylic is specially designed to prevent mould on all interior walls, ceilings and woodwork. Its hard wearing and scrubbable finish is particularly suitable where frequent cleaning may be required in areas such as kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. The Dulux Guarantee: If mould growth recurs within 5 years of application on surfaces prepared in accordance with Dulux instructions, Dulux will provide free of charge paint to rectify the affected areas. This warranty is limited and excludes labour and other charges.
