Get Known For Your Work

Here's a great way to promote yourself.

If you're a Registered Master Painter, take photos of your work and submit them to this site. It can be any size job, finished in any brand of paint. You can also add a profile of yourself or your company.

Selected photos and painter profiles will be displayed on www.dulux.co.nz. From mid August, customers in your area can view your work, your profile and contact you directly.  A strong consumer media campaign will support this website launch to encourage consumers to view your work.

How to take great photos

Here are a few tricks to help your photos look as good as possible

1. Think carefully about whether the subject would be best served by a landscape (horizontal) or portrait (vertical).

2. Get close to your subject - a lot of background in the picture is not important, we want to see what it is you're taking a photo of!

3. Pay attention to lighting - try to use natural light (rather than flash) whenever possible and try to take your photo with the sun hitting your subject from the side.

4. Always keep your horizons (any horizontal lines) level in your photographs, otherwise your shots will appear crooked.
